DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM NEAREST MAJOR HIGHWAY:
From Interstate 95: 1. Take Exit 135 to Highway 378 2. Follow 378 for approximately 35 minutes through Sumter 3. The Main Gate to Shaw AFB is clearly marked and you will exit right onto the exit ramp to get to the Main Gate. After entry at the Main Gate you will be on Shaw Drive. 4. Proceed on Shaw Drive for approximately 1 mile. You will proceed through a stop light. On the left, you will see a brown LODGING sign. Take that left and continue until you come to a stop sign. 5. Turn left and the Lodging Main office is the first building on your left. DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM NEAREST MAJOR AIRPORT: 1. Follow signs to exit the airport (only one way in and out) 2. Turn Left onto Airport Boulevard (exit from airport ends onto it at the stop light) 3. Proceed down Airport Boulevard until Interstate 26 intersection 4. Take I-26 East towards Charleston (on-ramp is to the right) 5. Take I-26 for approximately 2.4 miles, I-26 will split at Interstate 77 6. Take Interstate 77 North towards Charlotte NC (Left two lanes at the split) 7. Proceed North on I-77 to Exit 9 (approximately 8 miles) 8. Exit I-77 at Garners Ferry Road (US 378/76 Exit #9) 9. Turn Right onto Garner’s Ferry Road (east), and follow it for approximately 40 miles 10. There is a stop light at highway 261 and another stop light at highway 441. Shaw AFB entrance is just ahead. 11. The Main Gate to Shaw AFB is clearly marked and you will exit right onto the exit ramp and go back over highway 378. After entry at the Main Gate you will be on Shaw Drive. 12. Proceed on Shaw Drive for approximately 1 mile. You will proceed through a stop light. On the left, you will see a brown LODGING sign. Take that left and continue until you come to a stop sign. 13. Turn left and the Lodging Main office is the first building on your left. |
