DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM NEAREST MAJOR
AIRPORT:
1. Depart Incheon terminal following signs for Seoul and Expressway 20. NOTE: Reset odometer after each step. 2. Proceed for approximately 16.5 miles (26.5 km) until you cross the large bridge and run directly into a tollgate. This is a pay only tollgate—meaning you never picked up a ticket. Just slowly proceed through—the attendant will recognize the government vehicle and wave you through. NOTE: Expressway 20 will automatically change to Expressway 130 about 3 miles (4.8 km) after departing Incheon Airport (no turns). 3. Exit straight out of tollgate and proceed on Expressway 130 for 4.5 miles (7.2 km) until you reach Exit 4A. Exit right at Exit 4A and follow signs for Pangyo. Follow exit and merge onto Expressway 100. 4. Proceed on Expressway 100 for 10 miles (16 km) following signs for Pangyo until you run directly into a tollbooth. This is another pay only tollgate. Just slowly proceed through—the attendant will recognize the government vehicle and wave you through. 5. Proceed straight out the tollgate on Expressway 100 following signs for Pangyo and Expressway 15. After 7 miles (11.2 km) you will reach Exit 29. Exit right at Exit 29 and continue to follow signs to Expressway 15 and Dangjin (follow line of cars in pictures). Follow exit around to tollbooth and grab ticket. Proceed straight through. You are now on Expressway 15. Follow signs for Dangjin and Gunsan. 6. Proceed straight on Expressway 15 for approximately 120 miles (193 Km) towards Dangjin and Gunsan. Exit right at Exit 13 towards Jeonju and E. Gunsan. Proceed to tollgate and give ticket to attendant. 7. Exit tollgate and continue straight towards Gunsan and Highway 21 (DO NOT FOLLOW SIGNS FOR E. GUNSAN OR JEONJU). 8. Proceed on Highway 21 for 9.5 miles (15.2 km) until you reach the Gunsan Airport and Inner Port exit. Exit right off Highway 21 and follow offramp until you reach the “T” intersection. 9. Turn left at the “T” intersection following sign for Gunsan Airport on Highway 26. 10. Travel for about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) until you reach the sign for Air Base. Go across intersection and bear to the right. Travel for approximately .1 miles. This road will lead you straight into the Kunsan AB main gate. OSAN AB to KUNSAN AB - Travel time approx 2 to 3 hours NOTE: Leaving out the Main Gate (near shopping area) skip step one, Leaving out the Dolittle Gate, read Step one and Skip step Two. 1. Leaving out the Dolittle Gate, Follow the road, over a bridge and take a right at the intersection. Follow the signs to Expressway 40, you will make the Left Turn when you see a McDonalds on your left. Follow this road, and skip down to Step Three. 2. Travel out Main Gate (by shopping area) and merges to the right, the picture below shows you making left turn at the fork reset odometer and drive over the bridge and continue strait. Follow narrow roads until it splits in to two lanes. Fallow signs for Expressway 40. 3. After 5 miles you will come up to an intersection with a tree in the middle of the road. Go strait until the next light and make a left following the signs for Expressway 40. 4. Expressway 40 will be on the right side of the road. Follow the signs. 5. Once you turn to get on to Expressway 40. Take ticket and fallow signs for W. Pyeongtaek Make sure you put your vehicle registration number” and USFK” on the ticket. 6. Continue on Highway 40 for (13mil) and turn left following signs for Expressway 15 Stay in left lane. Off ramp and merge onto Expressway 15. 7. Proceed straight on Expressway 15 towards Dangjin and Gunsan. (95.6) Exit right at Exit 13 towards E. Gunsan. Proceed to tollgate and give ticket to attendant. 8. Exit tollgate and continue straight towards Gunsan and HIGHWAY 21 (DO NOT FOLLOW SIGNS FOR E. GUNSAN OR JEONJU). HIGHWAY 21 GUNSAN 9. Proceed on Highway 21 to the Gunsan Airport and Inner Port exit. Exit right off Highway 21 and follow offramp until you reach the “T” intersection. 10. Turn left at the “T” intersection following sign for Gunsan Airport on Highway 26. UNDER THE BRIDGE. 11. Travel for about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) until you reach the sign for Air Base. Go across intersection and bear to the right. Travel for approximately .1 miles. This road will lead you straight into the Kunsan AB main gate. |
